Since 2011 anticipating the coming of 2 of hip hop greatest gurus - Patrick Douthit(9th Wonder) and Phonte Coleman. The two are known from the legendary Lil Brother rap crew. It was no surprise that Urban Phenomenon Entertainment was behind Phonte9thwonder coming to Jozi. They've blessed us with a number of international acts before(Dwele, Goapele, Canibus and Bilal), I could say that Douglas(UPE) really is looking out for the local soul music lovers.

Sold out shows aren't an everyday thing in the local music scene, but the Phonte9thWonder gig was sold out for the Bassline show; which took place on the 6th of April. What's the secret?? A lot of neo soul lovers came out that night(I was one of them). The show was off the chains!!! Even though some people expected a lot of the Foreign Exchange songs from Phonte.

As soon as the two Lil Brothers landed in SA, twitter went crazy as 9th Wonder was tweeting about almost every activity such as "eating chicken Nandos" and learning local lingo. 9th was really touched by the turn out of the show. i think everyone that attended got an autograph from the dude as he took time to sit and sign sneakers, bras caps;t-shirts etc.
